Saddle Rock-Murphy Creek Men's Club -
Pace of Play Policy -
-
It is extremely important to maintain good pace of play.
-
Time-stamp the scorecard at the completion of 9 and 18 holes before totaling scores
- Monitor your pace with the clocks on #5 tee and #14 tee
-
Out of Position: If a group (a) takes more than the Allotted Time to play OR (b) reaches a par-3 hole and the preceding group has cleared the next tee; reaches the tee of a par-4 hole and the putting green is clear; or reaches a par-5 when the preceding group is on the puting green.
-
Each player of the group will be assessed a warning the first time he finishes 15 minutes or more behind the preceding group AND his time is more than 4:45. For the remainder of the tournaments, any player who has been previously warned will be assessed a 2-stroke penalty each tournament he finishes 15 minutes or more behind the preceding group AND his time is more than 4:45.
-
The 1st two groups must finish in 4:45 or each player will be assessed the above warning and/or 2-stroke penalty.
-
Don't guess - if you cannot see the group in front of you - play faster
-
Times will be posted at the scorer's table at the completion of play
-
Let's make an effort to keep the tournaments fun for everyone involved

No-Shows - Cancellations -
-
No-Shows or Cancellations cause tournament problems. Please show consideration for your fellow partners (especially in team events)
-
Failure to do so will result in loss of green fee
Handicaps -
-
The Saddle Rock-Murphy Creek Men's Club will not tolerate inflated handicaps (sandbagging). All 18-hole scores must be posted in the handicap computer. Each member must designate either Saddle Rock or Murphy Creek as their home course for handicap purposes. A player can post scores at either course, but must post scores as a Guest at the non-designated home course. Qualifying tournament scores will be posted by the tournament committee. The Men's Club Handicap Committee will, by authority of the United States Golf Association, reduce the handicap of a player whose scores are much better in competitions than in informal games. A player's handicap shall be reduced when competition scores show a handicap obviously too high for the individual's ability. Any member who intentionally alters his handicap through the computer system will not be allowed to participate in any further tournaments and all dues money collected will be forfeited. The Handicap Committee's decision will be final.
